About

In April 2024, the University of Iowa restructured its Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) into the Office of Civil Rights Compliance (OCRC) to align with Iowa Board of Regents directives on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The OCRC combines Title IX, gender equity, equity investigations, and ADA compliance functions. It oversees reporting and review of bias, harassment, discrimination, free speech, and sexual misconduct concerns, in accordance with Federal and State of Iowa law. Additionally, the OCRC provides resources to students, faculty, and staff, fostering a campus environment that values individual ideas and contributions.
